Rules and Regulations - All competitors must hit the Official
International Women's Long Drive Alliance, Inc., Ball – The ball that is provided by International Women's Long Drive
Alliance, Inc. Once the competitor receives the official golf balls, those balls must be kept visible in
the teeing area at all times.
- The International Womens Long
Drive Alliance, Inc. does not issue tee-times to competitors, nor do they approximate the time a competitor will hit.
It is the player’s responsibility to be ready when her name is called. Failure to do so will
result in DISQUALIFICATION.
- All drives must be hit from the
designated teeing area.
- A ball must come to rest within the
designated boundaries of the Competition Grid. A ball touching any part of the boundary line is considered
in play. A ball not touching the Grid is considered out of play.
- A ball coming into contact with
any obstruction within or outside the Grid and impeded from returning to the Grid, is considered out of play.
A shot cannot land out of bounds and then come back into play. No replays or considerations are
permitted.
- Competitors within six inches of each other will be ruled a tie. Only those competitors
will hit three additional balls to determine the final winning drive (three ball playoff). This
process will continue until a winner is declared. The hitting order will remain the same as
prior to the playoff. In preliminary rounds, in the event that two players are tied for 3rd and 4th
place, a coin flip will be used to determine the seedings in next round. In the event of a
tie in the “Championship” (finals) round of any division, a tie for 1st place will be
determined by a three ball playoff.
- All clubs used must be on the International Womens Long Drive Alliance, Inc. conforming list and not exceed the
50 inch club length limit. All clubs are subject to inspection from the event committee
and the International Womens Long Drive Alliance, Inc., has the right to confiscate any equipment for
inspection.
- During the competition, only soft drinks and/or water are permitted in the hitting area.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted during the competition.
- Competitors must declare amateur or professional
status at time of registration.
- All tees must conform to International Womens Long Drive Alliance, Inc., specifications/definitions
of a tee. The 4-inch tee rule will be in effect. Tees may not be anchored
or tethered to the ground. No part of the tee may interfere with the club face or assist in
making a stroke.
